Cave Hill is a peak you can make out from Dogwood Pond, and some of the water close by flows, like Dykas Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Markham Meadows Campgrounds if you're here at Dogwood Pond, and a day on the slopes of Powder Ridge is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps can be such exciting places, stop by Cove Meadow since you're here at Dogwood Pond; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Mattabesset

| | Trail. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Salmon River, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to catch a glimpse of at Johnson Millpond Dam right next door to Dogwood Pond. And that's not all you can do here at Dogwood Pond. If you need a site to stay Waters Edge Resort and Spa is a good choice; while you're here you can take a hike along the Washington Trail. Point is pretty near Dogwood Pond; there are other sites here than Dogwood Pond, for example Johnson Millpond. Super 8 Old Saybrook is a fine location to get some rest, and get drenched paddling on Hammonasset River. That right
there is a heap already, but it goes on; Dogwood Pond has it all. When you're here at Dogwood Pond it's always fun to have a look at Haddam Meadows State Park, and if you're dropping by from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, you
won't be the only one. A perfect place to camp here at Dogwood Pond is Wolf's Den Family Campground, and going for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. During the summertime
at Dogwood Pond temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Dogwood Pond. Dogwood
Pond gets a good deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
