In Connecticut there are many beautiful lakes, Dog Pond is one of them. Woodbridge Lake is a splendid lake close to Dog Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Shepaug River offers some magnificent whitewater. Do explore Woodridge Lake Dam since you're here at Dog Pond, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. | | down the rapids of Bantam River in a kayak. Take a hike on the Mattatuck Trail, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Woodbury. After a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, and you have to definitely pop by pretty Litchfield Town Beach since you're here. of the year is February. You'll meet a lot of folks from Torrington here, and a good swamp right next door to Dog Pond is Balsam Fir Swamp. So many entertaining things to do here at Dog Pond, too magnificent to be true. A perfect
site to camp here at Dog Pond is Valley In The Pines Campground, and if you're here you can play some golf at Stonybrook Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites; swing by West Side Pond

the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Dog Pond. Dog Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Hemlock Hill Camp Resort and Co-operative is a brilliant local campground, and wonderful skiing awaits you at Mohawk Mountain.
The warmest time of the year at Dog Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Dog Pond.
