Many people like to go to Deer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Hammonasset Reservoir close to Deer Lake; a golf course close by is Guilford Lakes Golf Course. At Deer Lake Dam right next door to Deer Lake there are some exciting things to see, and you can hit the slopes at Powder Ridge in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Deer Lake. From Deer Lake you obtain a good vista of Buell Hill; on a pretty day you
can check out East Rive Beach. Don't leave Deer Lake without first going for a hike along the Washington Trail. Getting to Chatfield Hollow Brook from Deer Lake is trouble-free; you can go for a hike on the West Woods Trail. Camping
is available at Hammonasset Beach State Park; after a long day outdoors A Victorian Village Inn is a good site to spend a night or two. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Deer Lake. A beautiful lake like Boulder
Lake close to Deer Lake is a delightful location to stop at, and obviously, everybody loves Chatfield Hollow State Park. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Deer Lake. Camping at
Riverdale Camp Sites is always a tremendous experience, and going for a hike on the Mattabesset Trail is always a perfect adventure.
