In Connecticut there are many beautiful lakes, Deer Lake is one of them. Head up to Powder Ridge and strap some skis to your feet, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Deer Lake; Mattabesset Trail is a great local trail. Chatfield Hollow State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and Hammonasset Beach is a beautiful beach to stop by. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Deer Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Washington Trail,

| | and you can take a little visit to Deer Lake Dam since you're here at Deer Lake. This place, Deer Lake, it definitely has so much outdoors fun stuff. Camping is available at Hammonasset Beach State Park; a lake close by is Foster Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some nice whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. The West Woods Trail offers hiking at its best; A Victorian Village Inn is a nice location to get some rest. Chatfield | |

Hollow Brook is a stream that you may stumble upon while here; a good site to camp here at Deer Lake is Riverdale Camp Sites. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Hammonasset River, and Deer Lake is not the
only spot nearby, Schreeder Pond is a nearby lake. You should without doubt pop by pretty East Rive Beach while you're here at Deer Lake, and the peak of Buell Hill can be made out from Deer Lake. For the period of the months
of summer at Deer Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Deer Lake through the wintertime
commonly drop into the 10's. Playing golf is lots of fun at Guilford Lakes Golf Course; a great close by hotel is Madison Beach Hotel. Deer Lake is a reasonably wet place commonly with lots of rainfall; through the month of April you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February.
