Man, is there a load of fun things to do in the vicinity of Day Pond. Beaches are pleasant; and Pine Ledge in close proximity to Day Pond is no exception; an afternoon playing golf at Candlewood Valley       Country Club is always a joy. Squantz Pond State Park is a nice location to stretch your legs a bit; you can never get enough of the great skiing at Woodbury. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Thunder Ridge since you're here, and a great place to camp here at Day Pond is Kettletown State Park. There's whitewater on East Aspetuck River for all you adrenaline junkies, and a nice nearby hotel is Homestead Inn.                  This lake is so wonderful. You could also pop by Housatonic River Reservoir while you're here at Day Pond; it's close by, and Clatter Valley is a great place to check out. This lake is so wonderful. You ought to positively stop by Lovers Leap if you're here at Day Pond; the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Don’t forget to visit Indian Field if you're here at Day Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Heritage Inn is a pleasant choice. During the warm days of summer here at Day Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Day Pond are in the 10's. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. The sight of Aspetuck Hill from Day Pond is beautiful, and get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Tenmile. Camping at Buck's Rock Camp is always a great experience, and taking a little journey to close by Birch Point is a great idea.
