Day Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Not far from Day Pond, you'll stumble on Pickerel Lake which is a beautiful lake, and unsurprisingly, everybody loves Devils Hopyard State Park. Day Pond typically gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls through May, and July is the month with the least moisture. Pickerel Lake Dam is a beautiful place near Day Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Executive Inn and Suites Old Saybrook. Here at Day Pond there

| | are plenty of folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford; there are other places here than Day Pond, for example North Westchester Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Blackledge River; camping at Devil's Hopyard State Park is always a fine experience. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Chanticlair Public Golf Course, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling | |

on Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. Roaring Brook River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. All through the summer months here at Day Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and the night is a bit
colder of course, usually in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's; night lows at Day Pond during the winter generally dip into the 10's. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Day Pond rules! After
a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Old Saybrook is a fine spot to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Markham Meadows Campgrounds is a delightful site to do that.

Odetah Campground
 | 18 miles away I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |
