Not far from Day Pond, you'll stumble on Pickerel Lake which is a beautiful lake, and unsurprisingly, everybody loves Devils Hopyard State Park. Day Pond typically gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls through May, and July is the month with the least moisture. Pickerel Lake Dam is a beautiful place near Day Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Executive Inn and Suites Old Saybrook. Here at Day Pond there       are plenty of folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford; there are other places here than Day Pond, for example North Westchester Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Blackledge River; camping at Devil's Hopyard State Park is always a fine experience. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Chanticlair Public Golf Course, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling                  on Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. Roaring Brook River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. All through the summer months here at Day Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and the night is a bit colder of course, usually in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's; night lows at Day Pond during the winter generally dip into the 10's. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Day Pond rules!
