You'll discover a charming lake called Great Meadow Brook Pond near Dawley Pond, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Border Trail. Dawley Pond is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.       This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Dawley Pond from Willimantic, you won't be the only one, and a good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PLAINFIELD. At Dawley Pond all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Dawley Pond all through the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 10's. I don't want to stop, cause                  I'm havin' a glorious time here at Dawley Pond. Budget Inn-Near Foxwoods is a wonderful site to get some rest; you can stay the night at Circle C Campground. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is one of the destinations near Dawley Pond that are great to go to; a pretty lake like Wiclcabouet Marsh is a glorious location to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dawley Pond has to offer, you can camp at Pine Valley RV Campground, and take a look at nearby Erickson Wildlife Marsh. Very lovely scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Yawgoo Valley; there's some flowing water nearby, Bliven Brook is a stream you can explore while you're here. Going for a hike along the Narragansett Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, also Wiclcabouet Marsh Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Dawley Pond.
