    A visit to Darling Pond is always a good idea. Darling Pond gets a great deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River, and going to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Soar down the rapids of Natchaug River in a kayak, and you'll locate a picturesque lake called  
   Halls Pond.
You can see Rattlesnake Hill from Darling Pond; Charlie Brown Campground is a great local campground. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at Wildlife Marsh Dam in the neighborhood of Darling Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center. This lake is so wonderful. A quick spree to Buttonball Brook next to Darling Pond is a perfect idea; why not camp at Nickerson Park Camp Grounds while you're here at Darling
 
               Pond.
Summertime highs at Darling Pond frequently tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Darling Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some smiling people from Willimantic here. All the outdoors cool things in the neighborhood of Darling Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly. Mansfield Hollow State Park is a nice site, and Best Western Regent Inn is a splendid location to get some rest.
