     Connecticut has many beautiful lakes and Cunningham Pond is one of them. Cunningham Pond is a wet place that gets much rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is typically the driest month. This place is peerless, just look at all the exciting things to do in the vicinity of Cunningham Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Tyler Lake. The skiing at Mohawk Mountain is great,  
   and Cunningham Pond is not far at all from Torrington.
Summertime at Cunningham Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cunningham Pond are in the 0's. So much fun stuff to do at Cunningham Pond, so little time. After a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a good location to spend a night or two; while
 
               you're here, you might as well stop at Johnson Hollow. A brilliant close by hotel is Blackberry River Inn, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
If you came for an overnight stay Valley In The Pines Campground is a brilliant location to camp, and a visit to Mohawk Mountain State Park is a great idea. Housatonic Meadows State Park is a tremendous local campground; Cunningham Pond is right by the Elbow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Ski Butternut; Housatonic River is a good whitewater spot nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are splendid; West Side Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Cunningham Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cunningham Pond; Mattatuck Trail is a pleasant local trail. Don't forget to take a great little visit to Bradford Brook, and the peak of Bartholomew Hill can be made out from Cunningham Pond.
