Throughout the days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Lake Cuheca while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and night lows at Lake Cuheca throughout the wintertime generally drop into the 10's. Lake Cuheca is great enough to spend more than a day at, Aces High RV Park is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful.       There's glorious hiking along the Narragansett Trail; a day at stunning Kiddie Beach next to Lake Cuheca is a glorious thing to do. A golf course next to Lake Cuheca is Groton Town Shennecossett Golf Course, and Barnville Hill is clearly visible from Lake Cuheca. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Red Mill Pond while you're here at Lake Cuheca; it's nearby, and there's whitewater on Natchaug River for all you adrenaline junkies. But wait,                  there's more to do in the neighborhood of Lake Cuheca. Don't leave Lake Cuheca without going to Harkness Memorial State Park, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Oak Dell Motel. The high level of rainfall makes Lake Cuheca a relatively wet place; the wettest month of the year is regularly November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Waterford is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and Miller Pond Dam is an exciting thing to check out. A lake nearby is Miller Pond. There's so much to do here at Lake Cuheca that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel-lock Campgrounds is a brilliant location for that. On a pretty day you can stop by Green Harbor Beach close to Lake Cuheca; lots of people from Norwich-New London come here.   Oak Dell Motel, Waterford 2 miles away Very clean, comfortable and affordable.
