Ski Sundown has perfect slopes and a friendly staff; if you've had enough of Crystal Lake, Camp Delaware Pond is close by. There's great hiking along the Tunxis Trail. Why not stop at Crystal Lake Dam if you're here, and paddling on Still River is so much fun. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool stuff just keep reading. Crystal Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Laurel Crest Campground is a great local campground, and don't forget to take a great little journey to Colebrook Brook. Crystal Lake typically gets a good deal of precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; January is when it's the driest. at Crystal Lake is White Pines Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Torrington come to Crystal Lake, and splendid hiking is available along the Mattatuck Trail. Hit the slopes at Otis Ridge close by, and in all
probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Mad River Reservoir is just a very short distance away. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Crystal Lake rocks! Not far from Crystal Lake you discover Bristol Cove, and
Sandy Brook River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Platt Hill is easily spotted from Crystal Lake, and Quality Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest.
