camp at Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds while you're here at Cranberry Pond.
Here at Cranberry Pond there are plenty of folks from Torrington; one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Litchfield Town Beach. Man,
is there a load of fun stuff to do in the neighborhood of Cranberry Pond. You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Woodbury; a delightful lake like Duck Pond is a perfect spot to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Do schedule
some time to stop at Kilbourne Cove in close proximity to Cranberry Pond if you have a chance; swamps like Bantam Swamp are fun to explore.
Take a hike on the Mattatuck Trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try
Butternut Brook. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Shepaug River; a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Mt. Tom State Park.
Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Mohawk Mountain, and if you came for an
overnight stay Cozy Hills Campground is a great site to camp. The high level of precipitation makes Cranberry Pond a relatively wet site; the month with most of the rain is August while February is generally the driest month.
