    Go to Cranberry Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great planet it would be. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Naugatuck Trail, and one of the dominant traits of the surroundings of Cranberry Pond is Apple Hill. At Cranberry Pond all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally  
   in the 30's while Cranberry Pond night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Spend the day on the beach at Morris Town Beach since you're here at Cranberry Pond, and get dripping wet paddling on Bantam River.
Lakes are such calm sites, why not check out Little Pond in close proximity to Cranberry Pond; if you need a location to stay Days Inn - Torrington is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Cranberry Pond
 
               you can play some golf at Stonybrook Golf Course, and hiking along the Mattatuck Trail is splendid fun. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Tollgate Hill Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds while you're here at Cranberry Pond.
Here at Cranberry Pond there are plenty of folks from Torrington; one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Litchfield Town Beach. Man, is there a load of fun stuff to do in the neighborhood of Cranberry Pond. You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Woodbury; a delightful lake like Duck Pond is a perfect spot to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Do schedule some time to stop at Kilbourne Cove in close proximity to Cranberry Pond if you have a chance; swamps like Bantam Swamp are fun to explore.
Take a hike on the Mattatuck Trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Butternut Brook. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Shepaug River; a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Mt. Tom State Park.
Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Mohawk Mountain, and if you came for an overnight stay Cozy Hills Campground is a great site to camp. The high level of precipitation makes Cranberry Pond a relatively wet site; the month with most of the rain is August while February is generally the driest month.
