Visit South Branch Trout Brook if you're here at Cornerstone Pool, and if you come at the right time of year, Farmington River offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Why not have a look at Woodridge Lake Dam if you're here, and there are other spots here than Cornerstone Pool, for example Wood Pond. For the duration       of the summertime months, highs usually are in the 80's at Cornerstone Pool, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cornerstone Pool are in the 10's. A perfect site to camp here at Cornerstone Pool is Camp Eagle Feather, and if you need a place to stay Courtyard Hartford Farmington is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Golden                  Acres Campground since you're here at Cornerstone Pool. While you're here at Cornerstone Pool you can play some golf at Buena Vista Golf Course, and skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just have to do. The high level of precipitation makes Cornerstone Pool a quite wet spot; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. You clearly should love Cornerstone Pool. Near Cornerstone Pool you stumble on the Mattabesset Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Powder Ridge since you're here. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are in fact abundant here at Cornerstone Pool. Going for a hike on the Tunxis Trail is always a nice adventure, and a good sight of picturesque Burnt Hill is available. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Spice Bush Swamp is right nearby; you'll meet a lot of folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here. The Metacomet Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of Cornerstone Pool, and Mooneys Woods is a tremendous local forest. This lake is so wonderful.
