Do explore Anaconda American Brass Company Dam if you're here at Cone Pond, and a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to close by Osbornedale State Park. Swamps don’t sound that perfect but Grape Swamp in close proximity to Cone Pond is quite perfect; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SHELTON-TRUMBULL is a brilliant spot to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Cone Pond has to offer, you can camp                  at Branchbrook Campground; hiking along the Naugatuck Trail is tremendous fun. But wait, there's more to do close to Cone Pond. Enjoy a round of golf at Woodhaven Country Club not far from Cone Pond, and if you need a location to stay Hilton Garden Inn Shelton is a perfect choice. A large amount of rainfall falls at Cone Pond; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most while February is mostly the driest month. The snow is splendid at Woodbury; Colony Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Cone Pond during the summertime months are in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Cone Pond drop into the 10's. Just can't get enough of Cone Pond. You'll meet a lot of folks from New Haven-Milford here; do schedule some time to stop at Hawkins Point if you have a chance. This lake is so wonderful.
