at Branchbrook Campground; hiking along the Naugatuck Trail is tremendous fun. But wait, there's more to do close to Cone Pond. Enjoy a round of golf at Woodhaven Country Club not far from Cone Pond, and if you need a location to
stay Hilton Garden Inn Shelton is a perfect choice. A large amount of rainfall falls at Cone Pond; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most while February is mostly the driest month. The
snow is splendid at Woodbury; Colony Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Cone Pond during the summertime months are in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the
50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Cone Pond drop into the 10's. Just can't get enough of Cone Pond. You'll meet a lot of folks from New Haven-Milford here;
do schedule some time to stop at Hawkins Point if you have a chance. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Regicides Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; from Cone Pond you get a great panorama of Castle Rock.
