If you are in Middlesex county it's always a good idea to stop by Cone Pond. Any time is a brilliant time at Cone Pond if you fancy the outdoors. A round of golf at nearby Chanticlair Public Golf Course is a brilliant way to kill some time. There's so much to do here at Cone Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wolf's Den Family Campground is a great place for that. If you need a place to stay Executive Inn and Suites Old Saybrook is a glorious choice,

| | and why not take a little spree to Molley Brook since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Number Two Pond is close to Cone Pond, and a glorious swamp near Cone Pond is Babcock Swamp. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Old Saybrook; get wet paddling on Roaring Brook River. on Salmon River is so much fun. Looking for something right next door to Cone Pond? Number One Pond is in the neighborhood, and you can stay the night at Devil's Hopyard State Park. Summertime highs at Cone Pond generally tend
to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Through the winter the highs are usually in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Cone Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. Not far
from Cone Pond you get some glorious water scenery at Babcock Pond Dam, and a tremendous spot like Devils Hopyard State Park is too great to leave out.

Odetah Campground
 | 16 miles away I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |
