At Lake Como you can distinguish Mine Mountain, and a lake close by is Monce Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just should do, and people from New Haven-Milford love to come here. Lake Como really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Pine Valley Golf Course is a golf course in the       neighborhood of Lake Como, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Tunxis Trail. Really great skiing awaits you at Ski Sundown, and soar down the rapids of Farmington River - Collinsville in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. The high level of rainfall makes Lake Como a rather wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. For the duration of the summertime months here at Lake Como,                  high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Como. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area near Lake Como has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Clarion Hotel Bristol, and Monce Pond Dam is a striking location. Stratton Brook State Park is a tremendous site to stop by, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express SOUTHINGTON is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay American Legion State Forest is a fine site to camp, as expected you could also take a look at Lake Garda if you're here; it's not far at all. Visit Negro Hill Brook since you're here at Lake Como; the Metacomet Trail is a great hiking trail nearby.
