Many people like to go to Coman Pond. The high level of precipitation makes Coman Pond a reasonably wet location; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Coman Pond through the long summer days highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down

| | during the wintertime temperatures at Coman Pond descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are glorious sites to have a look at, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception; after a long day outdoors The Inn at Woodstock Hill is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. Harrisville Golf Course is a golf course near Coman Pond; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Munyan Trail. | |

You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area close to Coman Pond has to offer. On a pretty day you can stop by Woodstock Town Beach in close proximity to Coman Pond, and since you're here, you could stop
at Jordan Brook. West Thompson Campground is a fine campground nearby, and Mashamoquet Brook State Park is a fine site. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct, and whitewater paddling
is glorious on Quinebaug River. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Willimantic here, and Meadowside woodstock is a good local campground. While you're here at Coman Pond you can take a hike along the Border
Trail, and the top of Chandler Hill is easily spotted from Coman Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby John Stone Pond, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Walkabout
Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Coman Pond. Not far from Coman Pond, you'll discover Auger Pond which is a wonderful lake; paddling on Natchaug River is so much fun.
