This lake is so wonderful. Osbornedale State Park is both tremendous and picturesque, and it's right next door to Colony Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Naugatuck Trail. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not take a look at Clarks Pond close to Colony Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Woodbury since you're here. At Colony Pond you can observe Castle Rock; if you're a golfer then a splendid nearby course is Woodhaven Country Club. Through the warm days of summer at Colony Pond temperatures are regularly in
the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Colony Pond. Hiking along the Quinnipiac Trail is delightful fun; you can never get enough of the great skiing at Mount Southington.
