unsurprisingly you could also pop by Nepaug Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. Going to Stratton Brook State Park in close proximity to Collinsville Reservoir is a brilliant thing to do, and if the weather is good,
you can go for a hike along the Tunxis Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Austin Hawes Campground since you're here at Collinsville Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we
recommend Farmington River - Riverton. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Clarion Hotel Bristol, and Zwick Point is in the neighborhood and always great to stop at. There is a perfect hiking trail in the neighborhood
of Collinsville Reservoir called the Mattatuck Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Sundown is quite near. Collinsville Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through August this area sees the most rain, and
January meanwhile is the driest month. The wonderful people of Torrington like to hang out nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Farmington River - Collinsville offers some great whitewater.
