The beauty of Collins Pond is reason enough to stop by. Collins Pond usually gets a good deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through May, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Laurel Reservoir Dam is a spot that is next to Collins Pond; you can stay the night at Clarence Fahnestock State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Laurel Reservoir is a nearby lake, and the vista of Wren Knolls is lovely. At Collins Pond all through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime
come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Collins Pond. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Thunder Ridge if you're here, and Kettletown State Park is a glorious campground here.
