A visit to Colebrook River Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Farmington River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Colebrook River Lake has to offer, you can camp at White Pines Campground, and nearby you locate the Richard Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. nights. Everybody loves Tolland State Forest; at Colebrook River Lake you always meet someone from Torrington. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Colebrook River Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Austin
Hawes Campground is a good location for that, and Beecher Hill is gorgeous and can be observed from here. Colebrook River Lake is a pretty wet place usually with a large amount of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain
here; January meanwhile is the driest month. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Going for a hike on the Link Trail is always a splendid adventure, and close by you'll come across a wooded region called
Algonquin State Forest. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Ski Sundown, and if you come at the right time of year, Still River offers some wonderful whitewater. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Colebrook River
Lake called the County Road Trail, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Otis Ridge. The scenery at Colebrook River Dam near Colebrook River Lake is wonderful, and lakes are such calm places, why not check out Lemanquais Pond.
