If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out Cold Spring Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at Cold Spring Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail; Cold Springs Dam has fine water scenery. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Cold Spring Reservoir has to offer. An afternoon playing golf at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course is always a diversion,

| | and skiing at Powder Ridge is one of those things you just should do. Cold Spring Reservoir gets much water; through May this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Mount Southington. After a long day outdoors Simsbury Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, and lots of people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford come here. and Bloomfield Reservoir is a nice lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Talcott Mountain State Park is a fine place, and Camp Eagle Feather is a delightful local campground. Cold Spring Reservoir is a great place to visit
for more than one day, Golden Acres Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Tunxis Trail. At Cold Spring Reservoir through the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the
night is a little chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Cold Spring Reservoir. Paddling on Farmington River is so much fun.
Lakes? Sure, Bloomfield Reservoir 3A is close at hand. While you're here at Cold Spring Reservoir you can take a hike along the Metacomet Trail; a wonderful vista of charming Grant Hill is available. And that's not all you can do
here at Cold Spring Reservoir. Glide down the rapids of Farmington River - Collinsville in a kayak; why not take a little journey to Tumble Brook since you're here.
