All the water falling down from the sky makes Clark Pond a wet location; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Stonybrook Golf Course, and Mohawk State Forest is a good       forest region nearby. Summertime at Clark Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's while Clark Pond nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. You're sure to run into some great people from Torrington here; if you came for an overnight stay Housatonic Meadows State Park is a tremendous site to camp. Now, you may                  think that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Clark Pond. If you need a spot to stay The Mayflower Inn & Spa is a great choice; the top of Jennings Hill is easily observed from Clark Pond. Valley In The Pines Campground is a perfect local campground, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Woodbury. This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Mohawk Mountain, and do take a hike on the Elbow Trail. Clark Pond is not the only spot close by, Mohawk Pond is a close by lake, and why not a little side visit to Spruce Brook. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Swamps like Bear Swamp close to Clark Pond make for great locations to stop by, and on a pretty day you can stop at Litchfield Town Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Clark Pond; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a good local trail. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Clark Pond? Hart Pond is around here; a magnificent nearby hotel is Tollgate Hill Inn.
