A lake close by is East Mountain Reservoir; a round of golf at nearby Highland Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. Beaver Pond Brook is a magnificent spot to stop at, and City Mills Ponds is a nearby lake that you could visit. Skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just ought to do; you can go for a hike       on the Mattatuck Trail. The high level of rainfall makes City Mills Ponds a pretty wet place; most of the rain falls through August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's whitewater on Farmington River - Riverton for all you adrenaline junkies. For the period of the summer months here at City Mills Ponds, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in                  the 20's, and nighttime lows at City Mills Ponds through the winter generally sink into the 10's. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at City Mills Ponds. Camping is available at Black Rock State Park, and Super 8 Motel - Waterbury is a great location to get some rest. Don't leave City Mills Ponds without first going for a hike along the Naugatuck Trail; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express WATERBURY. This lake is so wonderful. Black Rock State Park is a delightful site any time of year, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Farmington River - Collinsville. This lake is so wonderful. There's some interesting stuff to observe at East Brass Mill Dam in the neighborhood of City Mills Ponds, and the summit of Pine Hill can be seen from City Mills Ponds. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at City Mills Ponds.
