If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to City Mills Ponds. Get soaked paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville, and Highland Golf Course is a brilliant golf course nearby. For the period of the warm months, highs usually are in the 70's at City Mills Ponds, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During       the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for City Mills Ponds. Be careful coming to City Mills Ponds, you might not ever want to go home again. On a perfect day at City Mills Ponds you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail, and Black Rock State Park is a glorious place to stretch your legs a bit. Going for a hike on the Tunxis Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and if you're visiting from New Haven-Milford, you won't be the                  only one. This lake is so wonderful. One of the dominant marks of the surroundings of City Mills Ponds is Pine Hill, and you'll discover a stunning lake called City Mills Ponds. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Riverton, and do check out East Mountain Reservoir, it's a striking lake. There is a great hiking trail near City Mills Ponds called the Naugatuck Trail, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Waterbury is a great site to spend a night or two. What would winter be without some skiing at Mount Southington; if you came to camp Gentile's Camp Ground is a tremendous place to do that. Very gorgeous scenery and good skiing is what you get at Woodbury. This lake is so wonderful. City Mills Ponds is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Black Rock State Park is a pleasant local campground, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express WATERBURY is a delightful choice.
