What a nice lake Childs Pond is. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Childs Pond is peerless! Childs Pond is not the only spot close by, Twin Lakes is a close by lake, and going to Housatonic Meadows State Park is a good thing to do. This lake is so wonderful. From Childs Pond you acquire a good vista of Barrack Mountain, and a great nearby hotel is Sharon Motor Lodge. This lake is
so wonderful. Ski Butternut is a very popular ski area close by, and a great place close by is Dean Ravine. Camping is available at Lone Oak Camp Sites, and you need to visit Lookout Point if you're here.
If you come at the right
time of year, Housatonic River offers some great whitewater, and you're sure to run into some nice folks from Torrington here. At Childs Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad colder of
course, typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Childs Pond. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool things just keep reading. If the weather is glorious
