If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll love Chestnut Hill Reservoir. Stay the night at Black Rock State Park, and going for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a fine nearby course is Pequabuck Golf Club of Bristol, and you can never get enough of the       perfect skiing at Mount Southington. The high level of precipitation makes Chestnut Hill Reservoir a reasonably wet spot; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Take a look at nearby Buck Meadow; there are fine locations to discover along the Tunxis Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Really perfect skiing awaits you at Ski Sundown, and you can go for a hike on the Naugatuck Trail. A pleasant                  spot like Black Rock State Park close to Chestnut Hill Reservoir is too great to leave out, and Welton Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. Gentile's Camp Ground is a delightful campground nearby, and a lake nearby is Woodtick Reservoir. If the weather is beautiful, you obtain a great sight of Bald Hill from Chestnut Hill Reservoir; get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - Collinsville. This lake is so wonderful. Break Hill Brook flows through this vicinity, and Americas Best Value Inn and Suites/Wolcott is a tremendous spot to get some rest. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Waterbury is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and Chestnut Hill Dam is a charming place. All through the days of summer at Chestnut Hill Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's.
