    Cheshire Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Cheshire Reservoir Dam is worth stopping at if you're here, and don't leave Cheshire Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Quinnipiac Trail. Lakes are fine; West Brook Reservoir is a lake that's close to Cheshire Reservoir, and you can never get enough of the good skiing at Powder Ridge. There's magnificent hiking along the Mattatuck Trail, and camping is available at Black  
   Rock State Park.
Yeah, come here to Cheshire Reservoir for a pleasant time. Brittany Meadows is a swamp near Cheshire Reservoir, and a golf course nearby is Highland Golf Course. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cheshire Reservoir a wet place; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Cheshire Reservoir, you'll come across Mixville Pond which is a striking lake; getting
 
               to Mixville Brook from Cheshire Reservoir is painless.
Lots of people from New Haven-Milford come to Cheshire Reservoir, and a pleasant location like Sleeping Giant State Park is too wonderful to leave out. Bluff Head is delightful and can be distinguished from Cheshire Reservoir. The warmest time of the year at Cheshire Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; night lows at Cheshire Reservoir through the wintertime generally plunge into the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn WATERBURY is a splendid spot to get some rest, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Farmington River - Collinsville. This place, Cheshire Reservoir, it completely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cheshire Reservoir; Naugatuck Trail is a tremendous local trail; a fine location to camp here at Cheshire Reservoir is Gentile's Camp Ground. Skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just ought to do, and dry warm beds await you at Red Carpet Inn and Suites - Cheshire.
