     Get dripping wet paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville, and stunning scenery and good skiing is what you obtain at Mount Southington. Cheshire Reservoir is a reasonably wet place regularly with a lot of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Cheshire Reservoir Dam has perfect water scenery and it's near Cheshire Reservoir, and while you're here, you could pop by Mixville Brook.  
   Don't leave Cheshire Reservoir without stopping by Sleeping Giant State Park; the smiling people of New Haven-Milford like to hang out nearby.
All through the summertime months at Cheshire Reservoir highs are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Cheshire Reservoir all through the wintertime commonly drop into the 10's. That
 
               right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Cheshire Reservoir has it all. Black Rock State Park is a great local campground, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Highland Golf Course. Why not camp at Gentile's Camp Ground if you're here at Cheshire Reservoir, and there are swamps here too, Brittany Meadows is close at hand.
The Mattatuck Trail is a good hiking trail next to Cheshire Reservoir. Do have a look at West Brook Reservoir near Cheshire Reservoir, it's a picturesque lake, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn WATERBURY is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pleasant here at Cheshire Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Quinnipiac Trail; a fine nearby hotel is Red Carpet Inn and Suites - Cheshire.
And that's not all you can do here at Cheshire Reservoir. While you're here at Cheshire Reservoir, you could also stop by pretty Mixville Pond, and on a wonderful day you get a great sight of Bluff Head from Cheshire Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Powder Ridge is one of those things you just ought to do, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Naugatuck Trail.
