    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cheshire Reservoir. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Cheshire Reservoir. Gentile's Camp Ground is a brilliant local campground, and the slopes of Mount Southington are so inviting nobody can resist. The high level of rainfall makes Cheshire Reservoir a relatively wet place; all through August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least  
   moisture. The Naugatuck Trail offers hiking at its best, and there are other spots here than Cheshire Reservoir, for example West Brook Reservoir.
Don't miss out on a splendid swamp; Brittany Meadows is right here at Cheshire Reservoir; some of the water close by flows, like Mixville Brook. Summertime highs at Cheshire Reservoir typically tend to be in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the
 
               30's, and night lows at Cheshire Reservoir through the wintertime mostly fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from New Haven-Milford here at Cheshire Reservoir; why not check out Cheshire Reservoir Dam since you're here.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cheshire Reservoir; Mattatuck Trail is a great local trail; if you need a location to stay Red Carpet Inn and Suites - Cheshire is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. A great vista of lovely Bluff Head is available from Cheshire Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn WATERBURY. Black Rock State Park is a good campground nearby, and Sleeping Giant State Park is worth visiting.
I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Cheshire Reservoir. There's good hiking along the Quinnipiac Trail; Highland Golf Course is a great golf course nearby. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop by Brooks Pond in the vicinity of Cheshire Reservoir, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville. What would winter be without some skiing at Powder Ridge.
