     If you get bored of Chapins Pond, you could also have a look at close by Echo Lake; Mansfield Hollow State Park is a pretty location any time of year. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to distinguish at Mansfield Recreation Pond Dam in the neighborhood of Chapins Pond; Natchaug River is a great whitewater spot nearby. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary locations, pop by Turnip Meadow if you're here at Chapins Pond, and if you need a location to stay Best  
   Western Regent Inn is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Chapins Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Brialee Campground is a nice local campground, and while you're here why not pop by Mansfield Hollow.
This lake is so wonderful. During your spree to Chapins Pond you'll meet some folks from Willimantic for sure, and a lake nearby is Mansfield Recreation Pond. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Chapins Pond while
 
               overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Chapins Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff near Chapins Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly. Fenton River is a magnificent local stream, and Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center is a perfect site to get some rest.
There's so much to do here at Chapins Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Nickerson Park Camp Grounds is a brilliant place for that; you get a splendid sight of Wolf Rock from here. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Chapins Pond a wet place; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February.
