    If you are in this part of Connecticut make sure to pay a visit to Chalkers Millpond. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Devil's Hopyard State Park while you're here at Chalkers Millpond, and why not a little side trip to Back River. On a delightful day you obtain a sight of Beacon Hill from Chalkers Millpond, and a tremendous place like Selden Neck State Park is too pleasant to leave out. Get soaked paddling on Salmon River, and a delightful lake  
   like Ingham Ponds is a great location to visit.
A journey to Chapman Strand in the vicinity of Chalkers Millpond is always a brilliant idea; dry warm beds await you at Old Saybrook - Days Inn. Chapman Point is close by and always great to stop by, and there's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Obed Heights Reservoir Dam right next door to Chalkers Millpond. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Chalkers Millpond and you like golf, you can
 
               take a look at Hillside Links Golf Course, and on a gorgeous day you can stop at Indiantown Beach.
High temperatures at Chalkers Millpond during the months of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Chalkers Millpond. If you need a place to stay Executive Inn and Suites Old Saybrook is a wonderful choice; paddling on Hammonasset River is so much fun. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Chalkers Millpond. Lake Rockview is a pleasant lake in the neighborhood of Chalkers Millpond.
Lots of rain falls at Chalkers Millpond; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Chalkers Millpond. A splendid location to camp here at Chalkers Millpond is Wolf's Den Family Campground; swamps can be such exciting sites, explore Cedar Swamp while you're here at Chalkers Millpond.

THe fishermen aren't nice here, especially in the Fly fishing area, we caught a lot of heck from them last year. MAde the trip no fun, I won't return.
