On a delightful day you obtain a sight of Beacon Hill from Chalkers Millpond, and a tremendous place like Selden Neck State Park is too pleasant to leave out. Get soaked paddling on Salmon River, and a delightful lake       like Ingham Ponds is a great location to visit. A journey to Chapman Strand in the vicinity of Chalkers Millpond is always a brilliant idea; dry warm beds await you at Old Saybrook - Days Inn. Chapman Point is close by and always great to stop by, and there's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Obed Heights Reservoir Dam right next door to Chalkers Millpond. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Chalkers Millpond during the months of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
