Cedar Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. If you want to hit the beach, Hotchkiss Grove Beach is nearby, and Lake Gaillard Dam is a site that is in the vicinity of Cedar Pond. This is a brilliant region for folks who like lakes. Cedar Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is April; the driest of the months is February. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Cedar Pond. A perfect sight of lovely Notch Hill is available from Cedar Pond; on a great day you can take a hike along the West Woods Trail. During your trip to Cedar Pond you'll meet some folks from New Haven-Milford for sure, and going for a hike on the Washington Trail is always a great adventure. Places like Wharton Brook State Park are wonderful to go to, and
there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Mattabesset Trail. The snow is glorious at Mount Southington. Just can't get enough of Cedar Pond. You should without doubt take a look at beautiful Hotchkiss Cove Beach since you're
here at Cedar Pond, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hammonasset River. Cedar Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Riverdale Camp Sites is a
fine local campground, and let's not forget Munger Brook which is a stream that you may come across while here. High temperatures at Cedar Pond through the long summer days are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer
temperatures dip down into the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's while Cedar Pond night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. There's so much to do here at Cedar Pond that you need to
camp here for a while, Hammonasset Beach State Park is a magnificent place for that; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express BRANFORD-NEW HAVEN is a perfect choice.
