High temperatures at Cedar Lake during the summertime months are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cedar Lake are in the 10's. Cedar Lake generally gets lots of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain       while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Cedar Pond Brook is a wonderful stream that is worth going to, and a perfect close by hotel is Hilltop Inn-Niantic. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Cedar Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Norwich-New London; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Niantic is a delightful site to spend a night or two. Near Cedar Lake you stumble on a golf course called Fox Hopyard                  Golf Club, and great water scenery is available at E A Whitford Pond Dam right next door to Cedar Lake. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Cedar Lake has it all. A spree to Devils Hopyard State Park invigorates the soul, and not far from Cedar Lake you'll find E A Whitford Pond which is a scenic lake. Cedar Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Witch Meadow Lake Campsites is a pleasant local campground; Cedar Hill is beautiful and can be distinguished from here.
