Looking for some flowing water? Try Cavanaugh Brook, and the top of Mount Pleasant is easily seen from Cavanaugh Pond. Stony Hill Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest; lots of people from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk come here. There are splendid places to discover along the Naugatuck Trail; if you've had enough of Cavanaugh Pond, Walnut Hill Pond is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail is always a wonderful adventure,

| | and Sunset Hill Golf Club is a golf course nearby. Collis P. Huntington State Park is a gorgeous site any time of year; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Woodbury is pretty near. This lake is so wonderful. An out of the ordinary thing to check out in the neighborhood of Cavanaugh Pond is Shedpaug Dam, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Lake Lillinonah since you're here; it's not far at all. wet place; the month with most of the rain is July, and January is the month with the least moisture. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in close proximity to Cavanaugh Pond. Mountain Workshop is a good local campground,
and the skiing at Thunder Ridge is tremendous. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not camp at Buck's Rock Camp if you're here at Cavanaugh Pond, and get wet paddling on Shepaug River. Summer brings highs in the
80's to Cavanaugh Pond with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Cavanaugh Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn and Suites Bethel; whitewater paddling is glorious on East Aspetuck River.
