Norwalk River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, as expected you could also take a look at Easton Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. Canoe Brook Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; enjoy a round of golf at Twin Links at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course. While you're here at Canoe Brook Lake you can take a hike along the Regicides Trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Black Rock Inn is a delightful site to
spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Canoe Brook Lake a wet location; most of the rain falls through May, and January is the month with the least moisture.
That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Canoe Brook Lake has it all. There's so much to do here at Canoe Brook Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Workshop is a brilliant place for that, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from

Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Canoe Brook Lake is not the only spot close by, Canoe Brook Lake is a close by lake; as expected Canoe Brook flows through this vicinity.
Throughout the summer highs here at Canoe Brook Lake reach the 80's; the night is rather chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Canoe Brook Lake are in the 10's. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn BRIDGEPORT-TRUMBULL-FAIRFIELD is a splendid choice, and a trip to Pleasure Beach is always a tremendous idea. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Going for a hike along the Naugatuck Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and on a gorgeous day you can stop at Seaside Beach.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp National Computer Camps is a great location to do that, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Woodbury while you're here. Indian Well State Park is a pretty site any time of year; Chestnut Hill is simple to spot from Canoe Brook Lake.

MORE STUFF NEARBY:

Pleasure Beach
Uh. Pleasure beach bridge burned 10 years ago and you can't get out there. It is basically abandonded buildings and trash. Was this auto generated or something? Tongue point is always nice to visit? Tongue point is owned by the electric utility and is the site of a generating plant, besides being off limits it is ugly (except for the lighthouse). Please update this entry, or better yet just delete it....

Maltby Lake
18 miles away
Call the Regional Water Authority and ask for Anita in Recreation, 203-624-6671.  She'll set you up with a permit. Or you can go online, www.rwater.com.  Maltby Lakes are made up of three lakes located off of Route 34 in West Haven.  The permit also gives you access to Lake Saltonstall and Lake Chamberlain for fishing.  There is much more than fishing but you can start off there. Good Luck!...I am looking for directions, so I can go fishing my girl says it is a beautiful spot....

Konolds Pond
18 miles away
This description is garbage! I live across the street from Konolds Pond and there is NO skiing anywhere nearby and what does Fire Island out on Long Island, NY have to do with Konolds Pond????...

Lake Chamberlain
18 miles away
Access only with Regional Water Authority permit (25$/year). Off Rt. 69, turn down Morris Road at Bethany/Woodbridge border. Left at stopsign onto dirt road, second gated entrance on right. Fishing, hiking/running, horseback riding.
Good sized lake for the area, however boating is strictly forbidden. Gorgeous, peaceful surroundings (no houses), and wildlife abounds. The deer often tolerate people closeby. The fishing can be good for the experienced bass fisherman willing to hike around to the various small, scattered areas where casting is possible. These spots are often choked with brush so accurate casting, texas-rigged soft plastic baits, and at least 8lb test line are a must. I've caught a few 4-5lb bass and some good sized pickerel....
