A great deal of rain falls at Candee Reservoir; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little visit to Cold Spring Brook; lakes are such peaceful sites, why not take a look at Mulberry Reservoir. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things close to Candee Reservoir.       An afternoon playing golf at Woodhaven Country Club is always a diversion, and the Mattatuck Trail offers hiking at its best. Candee Reservoir is not far at all from New Haven-Milford; a splendid spot to camp here at Candee Reservoir is Gentile's Camp Ground. For the duration of the days of summer at Candee Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in                  the 10's for Candee Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Candee Reservoir; Regicides Trail is a delightful local trail, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Farmington River - Collinsville.
