Camp Pond is a nice lake to visit. Camp Pond regularly gets lots of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. A wonderful location like Haystack Mountain State Park right next door to Camp Pond is too good to leave out, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Quarry View Golf Course. For the period of the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Camp Pond with night lows in the 50's. Throughout

| | the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's with temperatures at Camp Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Any time is a magnificent time at Camp Pond if you go for the outdoors. You're sure to bump into some cheerful people from Torrington here, and if you need a place to stay Tollgate Hill Inn is a nice choice. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Camp Pond. Swamp is a swamp near Camp Pond, and a fine spot to camp here at Camp Pond is Valley In The Pines Campground. Housatonic River is a great whitewater spot close to Camp Pond, also Tobey Pond Dam is worth stopping at while you're
here. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Butternut is near Camp Pond, and the Indian Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. The snow is good at Mohawk Mountain, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along
the Wild Cat Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Wangum Lake, and swing by North Brook it's a perfect location to stop by. This lake is so wonderful.
Camp Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lone Oak Camp Sites is a great local campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Elbow Trail.
