North Brook is a pretty stream that is worth a visit, and not far from Camp Pond you'll discover Seldom Seen Pond which is a gorgeous lake. Going for a hike on the Wild Cat Trail is always a great adventure, and the slopes of Ski Butternut are so inviting noone can resist. Camp Pond usually gets a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. Lakes are great; Crissey Pond is a lake

| | that's near Camp Pond; you can go for a hike on the Elbow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Camp Pond without first going for a hike along the Indian Trail. There's so much to do here at Camp Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lone Oak Camp Sites is a nice location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Great Bear Swamp are fun to pop by, and Camp Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Valley In The Pines Campground | |

is a great local campground. For the period of the months of summer at Camp Pond highs are usually in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 30's,
and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Camp Pond drop into the 0's. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you come at the right time of year, Housatonic River offers some perfect whitewater;
after a long day outdoors Blackberry River Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Dry warm beds await you at Tollgate Hill Inn, and everyone close by loves skiing at Mohawk Mountain. A tour to Haystack Mountain State Park
when you're here at Camp Pond is never a bad idea, and for you golfers we recommend close by Quarry View Golf Course. You just have to like Camp Pond. At Camp Pond you always meet someone from Torrington, and Tobey Pond Dam has splendid water scenery.
