     Do pop by Butterworth Dam while you're here at Butterworth Brook Reservoir, and the Regicides Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville is so much fun. Through the months of summer at Butterworth Brook Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Butterworth Brook Reservoir. Butterworth Brook Reservoir is good  
   enough to spend more than a day at, Gentile's Camp Ground is a good local campground; dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Hamden.
Be careful coming to Butterworth Brook Reservoir, you might not ever wanna return back home again. There's some flowing water close by, Butterworth Brook is a stream you can stop by while you're here; possibly you're looking for nearby lakes?                so much to do here at Butterworth Brook Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, National Computer Camps is a pleasant site for that, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby New Haven-Milford. Butterworth Brook Reservoir generally gets a good deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February.
If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Butterworth Brook Reservoir. You're probably hooked on lakes, Clarks Pond is one of those nearby, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Naugatuck Trail. If you need a place to stay Red Carpet Inn and Suites - Cheshire is a great choice, and sites like Sleeping Giant State Park are good to visit. Hit the slopes at Powder Ridge close at hand, and one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Dossin Park Beach.
If the weather is tremendous here at Butterworth Brook Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Quinnipiac Trail, and Mount Carmel is pretty and can be spotted from here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Butterworth Brook Reservoir you can play some golf at Sleeping Giant Golf Course, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Southington.
