What a nice lake Burr Pond is. close to Burr Pond you'll find a wooded region called Paugnut State Forest, and hiking along the Tunxis Trail is nice fun. Days Inn - Torrington is a brilliant place to get some rest, and the Mattatuck Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. | | whitewater. The sight of Burr Mountain from Burr Pond is lovely; not far from Burr Pond you'll hit upon Highland Lake which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. commonly gets a large amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is January. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Burr Pond. Take a side
journey to Sucker Brook; why not head up to Mohawk Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Sandy Brook River, and do visit Burr Pond Dam while you're here. Burr Pond is a wonderful
location to visit for more than one day, Laurel Crest Campground is a wonderful location to camp nearby, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Ski Sundown.
