Whitewater paddling is fine on Sandy Brook River, and a great place like Burr Pond State Park is too great to leave out. If you came for an overnight stay Laurel Crest Campground is a wonderful place to camp, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Still River. You can take a little journey to Burr Pond Dam while you're here at Burr Pond; since you're here you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail. This

| | lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Travis Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Burr Pond has it all. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mohawk Mountain, and why not a little side trip to Sucker Brook. And that's not all you can do here at Burr Pond. If you need a place to stay Days Inn - Torrington is a delightful choice, and Burr Pond is not the only spot nearby, Sucker Brook Reservoir | |

is a nearby lake. The Tunxis Trail is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Burr Pond, and you're sure to stumble upon some nice people from Torrington here. Ski Sundown is a fine local ski area, and if the weather is
good, you can go for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Burr Pond, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; night lows
at Burr Pond through the wintertime commonly plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Paugnut State Forest is a wonderful local forest, and why not explore Bristol Cove also since you're here.
At Burr Pond you can see Burr Mountain, and Burr Pond State Park is a tremendous local campground. Burr Pond gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls through August, and January is when it's the driest.
