    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out Brooks Pond. Really great skiing awaits you at Mount Southington; if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by New Haven-Milford. A great sight of charming Bluff Head is available from Brooks Pond, and places like Sleeping Giant State Park are nice to take a look at.
Some nearby water includes Mixville Brook, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by
 
   Powder Ridge. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll adore Brooks Pond. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Farmington River - Collinsville; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn WATERBURY. A lot of rainfall falls at Brooks Pond; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. This is a tremendous neighborhood for people who like lakes. West Brook Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity, and
 
               you can stay the night at Black Rock State Park. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail in close proximity to Brooks Pond called the Quinnipiac Trail, and Brooks Pond is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Gentile's Camp Ground is a wonderful place to camp nearby. If the weather is pleasant here at Brooks Pond, you can go for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail, and Mixville Pond Dam is a scenic site, positively worth visiting.
This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Playing golf is lots of fun at Highland Golf Course, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Mixville Pond. For the period of the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Brooks Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Brooks Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. The Tunxis Trail is a great hiking trail close to Brooks Pond, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Waterbury is a delightful choice.
