Spend the day on the beach at Woodstock Town Beach since you're here at Breakneck Pond, and if you have the time, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await       you at Days Inn Sturbridge; you can run the rapids of Natchaug River. Throughout the summertime months here at Breakneck Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Breakneck Pond descend into the 10's. Much rain falls at Breakneck Pond; November is the month that gets the most rain;                  February is the month with the least moisture. And that's not all you can do here at Breakneck Pond. Travelodge Sturbridge is a perfect location to get some rest; Breakneck Pond is in close proximity to Bigelow Hollow State Park which is a stunning spot. Camping at Manna Campground is always a nice experience, and Breakneck Pond is not far at all from Willimantic. Mashapaug Pond is a pleasant lake close to Breakneck Pond, also Mashapaug Pond Spillway Dam is worth a visit if you're here. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Breakneck Pond has it all. Really great skiing awaits you at Pine Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. Quaboag River is a good whitewater spot in the vicinity of Breakneck Pond, and Cat Rocks is charming and can be made out from here.
