Bolton Lake is a nice lake to visit. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Bolton Lake. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Salmon River, and after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express Inn Vernon is a nice place to spend a night or two. At Bolton Lake you can make out Box Hill, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford. Paddling on Roaring Brook

| | River is so much fun, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Vernon is a tremendous choice. The high level of rain makes Bolton Lake a rather wet spot; the month with most of the rain is May, and July is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the summertime, highs regularly are in the 80's at Bolton Lake; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows | |

in the 10's to Bolton Lake. You'll find a wonderful lake called Bolton Lakes near Bolton Lake, and Bolton Pond Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers
we recommend nearby Twin Hills Country Club, and you can stay the night at Del-aire Camping Resort. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Bolton Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sun Valley
Camping Cooperative, and a spree to Gay City State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. Bolton Lake is next to Lower Bolton Lake Dam which is a beautiful site beyond doubt worth visiting, and lakes are such serene spots, why not explore Upper Bolton Lake.

 | 17 miles away Im here everyday besides wensday. on wensday they give uss off. don and ann are very nice people with a very nice store and very nice overpriced things inside there very nice store. soon they will mater building the roads and hopefuly next spring will be a very nice one. they have very clean and large sites and never are all the sites full so dont let them tell you there booked. if your looking for a nice peaceful time come durring the normal weekends but if your looking for lots of action well come on the major weekends. if your have any teens bring them because there are lots of very nice children in a drug-free enviroment. we have been her since the begining of time and for some reason where still here! the speed limits 5mph but I drive at around 12mph shhh.... |
