Hit the slopes at Powder Ridge close by, and a wonderful close by hotel is Waters Edge Resort and Spa. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Boardman Pond has it all. There's good hiking along the Mattabesset Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Chapman Pond. Landing Hill is easy to spot from Boardman Pond, and swamps are interesting sites and Cove Meadow in close proximity to Boardman Pond is no

| | exception. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course next to Boardman Pond is Hillside Links Golf Course; taking a little trip to close by Cones Point is a perfect idea. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes. Dogwood Pond is a lake in the neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Boardman Pond has to offer, you can camp at Devil's Hopyard State Park. This lake is so wonderful. love to come to Boardman Pond, and Boardman Pond is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Wolf's Den Family Campground is a magnificent spot to camp nearby. The Washington Trail offers hiking at its best; Johnson Millpond
Dam has wonderful water scenery. A journey to Gillette Castle State Park revives the soul; Hammonasset River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater
paddling on Salmon River, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mattabesset Trail. Boardman Pond gets a great deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
For the period of the long summer days at Boardman Pond highs are generally in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Boardman Pond dipping
down into the 10's through winter nights. And that's not all you can do here at Boardman Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Clark Creek, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Old Saybrook is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful.
