Sure, Billings Lake is just a very short distance away. Hopeville Pond State Park is a wonderful place, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Norwich-New London. If you came for an overnight stay Countryside Campground is a great location to camp, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley       National Heritage Corridor is a perfect site close by. Don't leave Blue Lake without first going for a hike along the Narragansett Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Natures Campsites is a great local campground, and Quinebaug River is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to Blue Lake has to offer. Take a little journey to Ashwillet Brook while you're here at Blue Lake;                  Blue Lake Dam is not far at all from Blue Lake. Summertime at Blue Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the night is quite cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Blue Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You could also explore Anderson Pond since you're here at Blue Lake; it's close by; the summit of Stewart Hill can be made out from Blue Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Hilltop Inn and Suites; an afternoon playing golf at River Ridge Golf Course is always a delight.
