Richards Pond is a lake in the neighborhood; Calebs Peak is clearly visible from Blatz Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The Elbow Trail offers hiking at its best; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Jordan Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Macedonia Brook State Park is a pleasant site to visit on a delightful day. The annual rain here at Blatz Pond is about average; during       June this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Blatz Pond is unbeatable! If you came for an overnight stay Buck's Rock Camp is a perfect place to camp, and if you need a location to stay The Cottages At Kent Road is a perfect choice. Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; Lake Waramaug State Park is a delightful local campground. Summertime                  highs at Blatz Pond usually tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Blatz Pond. All the outdoors amusing stuff right next door to Blatz Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly. There's tremendous hiking along the Indian Trail; if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Housatonic River. Jordan Pond Dam is worth checking out if you're here, and you need to visit Saint Johns Ledges while you're here. What would winter be without some skiing at Thunder Ridge; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Silo Ridge Country Club is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Mohawk Mountain are so inviting noone can resist; dry warm beds await you at Sharon Motor Lodge. Here at Blatz Pond you'll almost certainly meet some people from Torrington, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Ten Mile River.
