A cool spot to have a look at next to Blackwells Pond is Game Ledge, and while you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Fox Hopyard Golf Club. Visit Broad Swamp Brook while you're here at Blackwells Pond; you can run the rapids of Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Old Saybrook is a tremendous place to spend a night or two; a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a journey to nearby Devils Hopyard State Park. Dry warm beds await you at Hilltop Inn-Niantic.
