Going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and fine skiing awaits you at Woodbury. Lots of rainfall falls at Black Rock Lake; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. site for that. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Black Rock Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's; through the dark
hours in the winter at Black Rock Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. While you're here at Black Rock Lake you can play some golf at Fairview Farm Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of
skiing at nearby Ski Sundown, and lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Black Rock Pond. Black Rock Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Black Rock State Park is a glorious local campground; you'll discover a pretty lake called Morton Pond.
