There's nice hiking along the Border Trail, and you can stay the night at Black Pond Campground. Travelodge Sturbridge is a perfect location to get some rest, and Bigelow Hollow State Park is a pleasant place to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Willimantic come to Black Pond, obviously you could also check out Hiscox Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. You get a good panorama of Bradford Hill from Black Pond. | | do here at Black Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Chamberlain Lake Campground is a delightful location for that. Just can't get enough of Black Pond. During your stay at Black Pond do stop at nearby Woodstock Town Beach; dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Sturbridge. The Munyan Trail offers hiking at its best. You can run the rapids of Natchaug River in the neighborhood of Black Pond, and obviously, all our national parks are pleasant locations | |

to visit and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception. A pleasant location for whitewater paddling close to Black Pond is Quinebaug River, and if you're a golfer then a good close by course
is Royal Oaks Country Club. Summertime highs at Black Pond usually tend to be in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; winter nights come
with lows in the 10's to Black Pond. So many cool things to do at Black Pond, so little time. A lake close by is Chamberlain Pond; Black Hall River is close to Black Pond and is always a pleasure to stop by. This lake is so wonderful.
There are swamps here too; Cedar Swamp is in the neighborhood; Chamberlain Pond Dam is a site that is near Black Pond. Lots of precipitation falls at Black Pond; November is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
