    Many people like to go to Black Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the beach if you want, Woodstock Town Beach is practically right here, and if you need a site to stay Southbridge Hotel & Conference is a delightful choice. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Black Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Natchaug River, and you can go for a hike on the Munyan Trail. On a beautiful day you acquire a vista  
   of Bradford Hill from Black Pond, and Black Pond Campground is a great campground here.
This lake is so wonderful. Chamberlain Pond Dam is not far at all from Black Pond; enjoy a round of golf at Royal Oaks Country Club. Summertime highs at Black Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Black Pond are in the 10's. A magnificent
 
               close by hotel is Sturbridge Days Inn. Lakes are magnificent; Cedar Swamp Pond is a lake that's close to Black Pond.
Black Pond is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Swamps like Cedar Swamp are fun to go to, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is one of the destinations that are good to explore close by. There are wonderful places to look at along the Border Trail, and you'll in all probability meet some people from Willimantic here.
Any time is a great time at Black Pond if you go for the outdoors. A spree to Black Pond wouldn’t be complete without a spree to nearby Bigelow Hollow State Park, and get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Quinebaug River. Stay the night at Chamberlain Lake Campground, and getting to Black Hall River from Black Pond is uncomplicated.
