If you are in Windham county it's always a good idea to stop by Black Pond. There are other places here than Black Pond, for example Hiscox Pond, and you can stay the night at Chamberlain Lake Campground. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Natchaug River. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Bigelow Hollow State Park invigorates the spirit, and Bradford Hill is clearly visible from Black Pond. Summertime highs at Black Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's.

| | Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Black Pond. A great nearby hotel is Sturbridge Days Inn; there's whitewater on Quinebaug River for all you adrenaline kick people. far from Black Pond, you'll find Chamberlain Pond which is a gorgeous lake, and Black Pond is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Black Pond Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby. There's just no way anyone can get bored
here at Black Pond. If you're here at Black Pond and you like golf, you can pop by Royal Oaks Country Club, and at Black Pond you always meet someone from Willimantic. Black Pond mostly gets lots of rain; of all the months in a year
November is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to Black Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. Visit Black Hall River since you're here at Black Pond; swamps like
Cedar Swamp near Black Pond make for glorious spots to go to. If you need a spot to stay Travelodge Sturbridge is a nice choice, and do take a hike on the Border Trail. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Munyan Trail, and
as expected, all our national parks are great spots to check out and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception.
