Little City Campground is a good local campground, and Wadsworth Falls State Park is a nice site to stop at on a pretty day. Beseck Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Black Pond, and do take a hike on the Mattabesset
Trail. So many cool things next to Black Pond, just remarkable. A tour to Preston Notch is always fun; get yourself into a kayak and hit Roaring Brook River. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are nice; Beseck Lake is a lake that's
next to Black Pond, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Mattabesset Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Black Pond is one of those nearby, and hiking along the Washington Trail is
glorious fun. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to make out at Black Pond Dam close to Black Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Eagle Feather is a great site to camp. Hit the beach if you want, Dossin Park Beach
is practically right here, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Powder Ridge while you're here. Hunter Memorial Golf Course is a good golf course close by; if you come at the right time of year, Hammonasset River offers some fine whitewater.
