Get wet paddling on Farmington River - Riverton; a glorious site to camp here at Black Pond is Camp Eagle Feather. When you're here at Black Pond it's always fun to explore Sleeping Giant State Park; hey, Gotta ski right? Mount Southington is a brilliant spot to do that. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Plants Pond in close proximity to Black Pond, and going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail will let

| | you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Very good water scenery is available at Spring Lake Dam close to Black Pond, and hiking along the Tunxis Trail is good fun. If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy Black Pond. Camping at Gentile's Camp Ground is always a fine experience, and Residence Inn Southington is a magnificent site to get some rest. some skiing at Powder Ridge. All through the summertime at Black Pond highs are typically in the 80's; the overnight is quite cooler of course, usually in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at
Black Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Pine Valley Golf Course is a nice golf course nearby, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Quinnipiac Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Beaches are fine;
and Dossin Park Beach in the neighborhood of Black Pond is no exception, and whitewater paddling is great on Farmington River - Collinsville. All the water falling down from the sky makes Black Pond a wet place; of all the months
in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A quick tour to Dayton Brook close to Black Pond is a tremendous idea; after a long day outdoors Comfort
Suites Southington is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. The friendly folks of New Haven-Milford like to hang out close by.
