Looking for something near Bishops Pond? High Hill Pond is close at hand, and the skiing at Powder Ridge is great. At Bishops Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 30's;       overnight lows at Bishops Pond during the winter frequently dip into the 10's. North Branch Spoon Shop Brook is a lovely stream that is worth checking out, and a trip to Wadsworth Falls State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. Bishops Pond in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Dry warm beds await you at Four Points By Sheraton Meriden; there's whitewater on Roaring Brook River for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful.                  There are some good whitewater spots on Hammonasset River; nothing beats kicking back at Dossin Park Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Bishops Pond Dam is worth going to while you're here, and the Mattabesset Trail offers hiking at its best. Lots of rain falls at Bishops Pond; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Nearby lakes?
