Camping is available at Cozy Hills Campground, and Bird Pond is not the only site nearby, Long Meadow Pond is a nearby lake. Bird Pond gets much water; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Bantam River for all you adrenaline people, and a great vista of picturesque Bird Hill is available. A day at wonderful Litchfield Town Beach in the neighborhood of Bird Pond is a fine thing

| | to do, and the Mattatuck Trail offers hiking at its best. The cheerful folks of Torrington like to hang out close by; camping at Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds is always a great experience. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Woodbury while you're here, and get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Shepaug River. This lake is so wonderful. a tremendous place; skiing at Mohawk Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. Summer at Bird Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are commonly in
the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bird Pond are in the 10's. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. After a long day outdoors Heritage Hotel is a glorious location to spend a night or two; if you've had enough of
Bird Pond, Flanders Wildlife Pond is nearby. Time spent at Morris Town Beach close to Bird Pond is always great; why not take a refreshing hike along the Naugatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Long Meadow Pond Dam is not
far at all from Bird Pond; Bird Pond is right by the Mattatuck Trail. The Mayflower Inn & Spa is a fine spot to get some rest, and why not take a little spree to Wood Creek since you're here.
